Here are the things to keep in mind before you start on your journey:
Even Before You Start, You are Worthy and Whole Now
You are already deserving of your full potential. It’s you who is blocking it.
The good and bad we judge daily in ourselves and others are more like the healed and unhealed parts of us.
If we can see it as such, we can quiet our judgment and accept everything as it is now.
You Should Start a Meditation and Journal Practice
They go together perfectly because you can keep track of insights and progress.
I suggest doing this every day or as often as possible. In my opinion, this is the fastest way to start your journey.
The more time you put in, the more you get out of it.
Get Clear on What You Want, and Align Your Energy to That
If you are unsure what you want, keep doing the work.
Let go of what isn’t serving you.
Meditate and move every day.
Start noticing the synchronicities the universe will provide for you; they are clues.
Get excited about your journey, elevated energy will help the answers come, as well as your goals.
Be Your Authentic Self
This can be a tricky one, the ego will get uncomfortable with this.
At first, you may self-sabotage and have thoughts of giving up.
We often go along with the crowd or someone else’s idea of who we should be out of fear of rejection.
But if we don’t own our truth, we won’t align with our right path, causing more pain down the road.
Authentic self = your best life.
Open Your Heart and Forgive Yourself and Others
Let go of what no longer resonates with you.
Holding onto anger only hurts you. Understand that hurt people, hurt others. It was never about you, so try to let it go.
Let go and accept others where they are at, or at least forgive and let go of the pain the discord is causing you.
This allows space for you to hold more light in yourself, as well as for what is supposed to find its way to you.
Additionally, it enhances your ability to cope with stress and enables you to feel the love and joy in your heart.
You Might Have to Make Some Big Changes
This could involve relocating, enrolling in a course, or altering your circle of friends. Maybe all of those things.
You’re creating room for what lies ahead.
You are unbecoming, letting go of what you are not. Before you figure out who you truly are.
Change can be challenging, but living a diminished version of your life, or someone else’s life, is equally difficult.
Elevating your energy will help you on your path.
Smile and Laugh at Yourself
Enjoy your journey, it doesn’t have to be difficult.
Sure, some days will present challenges; try to understand what your challenges are trying to tell you and face them with courage and grace.
Find what brings you joy and incorporate more of that into your life. Funny memes, silly cat videos…
Whatever it might be for you. Embrace your inner child, and try to see the world in a new light.
Focus on what you do want, and it will make your path much easier.
It’s Not a Straight Line to the Destination
The transformation journey is like a spiral, where you continuously return to something while learning new insights.
It ebbs and flows, with periods of growth followed by phases of integration.
Things may appear stagnant, yet the seeds you have planted are taking root.
If you aren’t seeing progress, but you are doing your work, be patient and don’t give up. Your next milestone is close.
Each Person’s Journey is Unique
Everyone will start at a different point and have different lessons to learn.
That’s the beautiful part: where we all fit together and can learn from and share each other’s experiences and journeys.
Don’t try to compare yourself with others because they are not you.
Celebrate yourself and all the other lovely souls along the way.
Commit to Yourself and Remain Consistent
You have to persevere when it gets hard, and it usually gets harder before you level up, and cement that lesson or habit.
When it feels the hardest, lean on your mediation practice to keep your energy up. Stick to your new routines.
We get there not through perfection, but through consistency.
We achieve that through love—for ourselves, for others, and for the world.
